  • Catture come reel.

  1. Crea l’account

Nome utente e password, niente email.

The social network for people who fish: post your catches with photos and video, put them on the map without giving away the spot, and see where Italy is fishing.

The problem it solves

Anglers want two things that fight each other: to show the fish and to hide the place. On ordinary social networks a photo carries its GPS, and the good spot becomes everyone’s. Lenza exists for this: every catch is posted with exactly as much location as you decide, from the precise point down to nothing at all.

In return, the shared map says something useful: where people fished today, this week, this year, species by species, without anyone giving up their spot.

What’s inside

  • Catches as reels. Up to 10 photos and a one-minute video per catch, scrolled vertically. Species, technique, size, bait and notes are optional: one photo is enough.
  • You decide the location. Exact point, an area drawn with a finger (recommended: the point is never even stored), a river, lake or sea from the list, the region only, or nothing.
  • A heat map of Italy. Where people fish most, with filters: today, week, month, year; one species; one technique; a region, river, lake, sea or an area you draw. Up close, points and areas appear and the catches open.
  • The species. 250 saltwater and freshwater species with local names: type “sarag” and every bream shows up. Not sure what you caught? Say so: others suggest, you confirm.
  • The sky at that moment. Moon phase, sunrise and sunset worked out from the time and place of the catch.
  • The social part. Likes, comments, people to follow, notifications, a profile with your personal records by species.
  • Fishing trips. Propose a day out with place, technique and number of seats; others join and sort out the details in the comments.

How to use it

  1. Create an account

Username and password, no email. Keep the password somewhere safe: without an email it cannot be recovered on your own.

  2. Post a catch

Pick photos or a video and tap Publish. Details (species, technique, size, how the water was) are up to you.

  3. Decide how much to say about the place

From the exact point to the region alone. The hand-drawn area is the recommended middle ground.

  4. Look at the map

Search a species, a period or a water and see where people really fish.

  5. Go out together

Propose a trip or join one that is planned.

Good to know

At the start you will find sample anglers and catches, labelled “Esempio”, so the map is not empty. Photos lose their hidden data (GPS position, phone model) before being saved, and a drawn area never reveals the point. There is no email: a forgotten password is requested from whoever runs Lenza. Data lives on European servers and the account can be deleted from the profile, with everything in it. The app is in Italian.
